Amy Calkins is a speaker and author, a former pastor, and a freelance writer and editor. Over the last eighteen years, Amy has edited hundreds of books for a variety of publishers and authors, as well as ghostwritten seven nonfiction books. She has also had a handful of her poems published in literary journals and anthologies. In 2022, she published her first book, The Way Back to Hope.

Alongside her writing, Amy enjoys speaking on hope and disappointment, intimacy with God, forgiveness, our identity in Christ, women in ministry, co-leadership in marriage, and creativity. She also teaches writing workshops. Amy and her husband of eighteen years, Mark, serve on staff at their home church, where Amy is the Communications Director. 

In her free time, Amy enjoys reading; playing board and card games; watching movies; going for walks; and having deep conversations with friends over tea. Amy, Mark, and their four kids live in Lancaster County, PA.
